RYA Powerboat Level 1&2 Course - Fri 18th to Sunday 20th June (Midland Sailing Club, from Jun 18, 2010 06:00 PM to Jun 20, 2010 05:00 PM)

A practical introduction to boat handling skills and background knowledge needed by the competent powerboat driver. Privides basic skills to drive the club safetyboats for sailing, club racing and for training courses.

RYA Safetyboat Course - Friday 9th to Sunday 11th July 2010 (Midland Sailing Club, from Jul 09, 2010 06:00 AM to Jul 11, 2010 07:00 PM)

Provides skills required when acting as safety boat or coach boat for a fleet of dinghies, windsurfers or canoes and for racing or training activities. When the going gets tough with boats on a lee shore, on the dam, inverted or needing a tow, these are the skills you need to have.

A 26 week evening course in navigation and seamanship for those who want to sail on the sea. No previous experience required, but a little sailing, power boating or diving will help.
