Southport 24 Hour Race 2012
This will be the 46th year of the UK's premier dinghy endurance race hosted by the West Lancs Yacht Club at the Southport Marine Lake. And once again Midland SC will be sending teams to compete

There are two sides to Southport. The serious sailing, and even more serious social. The Race runs from midday saturday to midday sunday. The social starts midday Friday, or even Thursday night and runs untill nobody can stay awake any longer.
The race is sailed in classic dinghys - GP14, Enterprise and Lark - with additional races within the main event for masters, students and of course the midnight cup and dawn races.
In recent years Midland SC have entered two GP14's and an Enterprise and have brought home silverware.
