This is my home area on the Midland Sailing Club site. Welcome.

I sail a 4 year old National Solo, 4643, that has been raced to National and Club success by two previous owners, thus proving that the boat is perfectly good so it's all down to my [lack of] ability for how well it's doing at the moment.

But you don't have to own your own boat in order to sail. I've been at Midland for a few years now and only bought my own boat in early 2008. We're a friendly bunch and owners of two-handed classes such Merlin Rocket, GP14 and Enterprise are always looking for crews to help sail them, and generally offer a beer for your troubles. And crewing for somebody else is a great way to improve.

Of course, once you've proved capable of sailing them, you can always borrow one of the clubs fleet of RS Fevas.

Most of the photos here were taken at Midland SC events, and I plan to upload new ones within a few weeks or so of them happening. At some point I'll delve back into the archives and publish some of them too.
