This course is a more advanced course for club members who hold a Powerboat Level 2 certificate and have had some experience in driving safety boats.  (Members who have plenty of experience but do not hold a Power Boat Level 2 Certificate can have a Direct Assessment on the first day of the course.)

What will I learn ? Have a look at your Powerboat Logbook for the syllabus.

When is it being held? Saturday 0900 to 1700 hours,   Sunday 0900 to 1700

Cost: Adult members £50,  Juniors and Student members £35 in full time education (minimum age 12 years)

What is included ? You will be provided with a copy of the RYA Safety Boat Handbook and DVD.  
(If you are taking the "Direct Assessment for Power Boat Level 2" you will need to purchase a copy of the RYA G8 'Start Powerboating' booklet and G20 'Powerboat logbook' - price £10.95).

A RYA Safety Boat certificate will be issued on satisfactory completetion of the course.

Hot Drinks are provided but you will need to provide your own sandwich lunch on both days.

Eligibility: Minimum age 16 years.
RYA Powerboat Level 2 certificate
It is strongly recommended that you should hold a First Aid Certificate.  We will be running another course next winter (January or February).

Anyone who drives or wants to drive or assist with safety boat cover during club racing, training (including Saturday junior sailing) or other club sailingevents should do this course.
