A practical introduction for MSC members to boat handling skills and background knowledge needed by the competent powerboat driver.

Provides basic skills to drive the club safetyboats for sailing, club racing, training courses and Saturday junior sailing.
Saturday 0900 to 1700 hours
Sunday 0900 to 17:00
Cost: Adult members £55, Juniors and Student members £35 in full time education (minimum age 12 years)
You will be provided with a copy of the RYA G8 'Start Powerboating' booklet and G20 'Powerboat logbook'.
A Powerboat Level 2 certificate will be issued on satisfactory completion of the course.

Anyone who drives or wants to drive or assist with safety boat cover during club racing, training (including Saturday junior sailing) or other club sailing events should do this course.
Once you have done this and gained a little experience why not book on the Safetyboat Course - see "Events" folder.
